I remember as a kid thinking the artists you heard on the radio were actually in the studio singing the songs at that moment in time. It was magical! I even asked my Dad if we could stop in because my favourite singer was “there”. After he set me straight by telling me it was records (yes kids…records in those days) I knew I just had to be in radio. I was either listening to Casey Kasem or trying to record my own station by using a portable tape recorder and microphone. I kept K-Mart going in blank cassettes (remember those). Radio was definitely in my blood.
After graduating from the Atlantic Broadcasting Institute in Halifax (Graduation Date sold separately), I began work at CJCH in Halifax. With stops at 103.9FM KIXX Country, 97.5K-Rock, 99.1 Hits FM, 590 VOCM, and Big Land - Labrador’s FM, my path was set for Leduc. From a goofy non-informed kid to a goofy somewhat informed “adult”… I’m super excited to be in Leduc!
