Leduc Hosting Female Hockey Provincials

The Leduc Roughnecks begin their quest for a provincial championship tonight at Wilhauk Beef Jerky Arena here in the city.

The Hockey Alberta Provincials for the Midget Female B division take place until Saturday at the LRC with the Roughnecks being one of ten teams vying to be Alberta's best.

Roughnecks captain Kali Cuthbert tells The One News what will be the key to the team's success for provincials.

"Being able to play as a team, working together, once one person branches off from everyone else it kind of brings the whole team down so working together is our main focus" says Cuthbert.

Tonight the Roughnecks take on Edmonton EG 715 Vipers at 6:15 pm.

Tomorrow they face the Stettler Storm at Wilhawk Beef Jerky Arena at 11 am and then at 6:30 pm Friday they host the Lac La Biche Clippers at Wilhawk Beef Jerky Arena.

Their last round-robin game is Saturday at 4 pm when they're at Wilhawk Beef Jerky Arena to face the Whitecourt Wolverines.
