Leduc Oil Kings bring-in two new coaches

Ryan Campbell joins Bantam AAA; Rod Olhauser to coach Midget AAA.

The Leduc Oil Kings welcome two new coaches this season.

The move sees Ryan Campbell step-in as Head Coach of the Bantam AAA squad and Rod Olhauser take on the role for the Midget AAA team.

Campbell previously coached for Edmonton’s South Side Athletic Club, often playing against the Bantam Oil Kings. He says his approach to the game is about work ethic, commitment, and respect. He adds that it’s nice to join a team with little knowledge of the local players, giving his staff a fresh slate and no bias heading into the season.

Olhauser has coached teams from Initiation all the way up to Junior A. He says his coaching style focuses on helping players succeed within their system and having a team-first mentality.

While Campbell says his goals for the season are mostly aimed at player development, Olhauser says his hope is always to win a championship, although the first step will be just getting to know the players and their role on the team.
