Single draw tickets sold starting Oct. 1
Curling Canada is preparing to host a major event in Leduc later on this year.
Event Manager Neil Houston says the Home Hardware Canada Cup will feature the very best curlers in the country.
"There'll be 14 teams, seven of each gender that will be participating. And the winner of each of those championships will proceed to the Olympic curling trials in Saskatoon in 2021, heading off to the Olympics in Beijing in 2022," he said.
Those include Calgary's Kevin Koe and Chelsea Carey, who are defending champions at the Brier and the Scotties tournaments, respectively.
Fans will also see the defending champions from last year's Canada Cup, which were Jennifer Jones and Brad Jacobs.
Houston says the five day tournament will run similar to other major events.
"Seven team round robin, down to a three team playoff. So the winner of each respective gender's round robin will go directly to the final, and the second and third place teams will play off in their semifinal games on Saturday (November 30)."
Single draw tickets are set to officially go on sale next Tuesday October 1st at 10 am, for the tournament that runs between November 27 and December 1.
Full tournament packages went on sale earlier this year, and are still available.
Houston also says there's still room for people to get involved in a volunteering role.
