Just before 3:00 Thursday afternoon, RCMP were called out to the Leduc Business Park, to a business later identified as Millennium Cryogenic Technologies.

Leduc Mayor Bob Young confirmed the deaths and released a statement yesterday saying "This afternoon Leduc Fire Services and the RCMP responded to an industrial workplace incident in the Leduc Business Park where three individuals tragically lost their lives. On behalf of Leduc City Council and administration, I want to express our deepest condolences to the co-workers and families affected by this tragic incident. We stand with those impacted and hold you in our thoughts and prayers. We understand that this situation is contained to the site and there are no risks to the general public. This matter is under investigation by Alberta Occupational Health & Safety and the RCMP and any further details will be released by them.”

Police have yet to reveal the identities of the deceased but have said it was 3 males aged 31,34 and 52.

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley tweeted "My heart breaks for these workers and their families.  While we wait for details about how this tragic accident happened, my thoughts are with all those who are mourning this terrible loss".
