UCP not phased by website targeting Kenney

The United Conservative Party(UCP) is responding to the website launched last week against leader Jason Kenney.

The website paid for by the Alberta NDP is called "The Truth About Jason Kenney" https://thetruthaboutjasonkenney.ca/ and it details what the provincial government claims are facts about his career in politics.

Brad Rutherford, the UCP candidate for Leduc-Beaumont tells The One News what he thinks of the website.

"It came across to me as just desperate attempt to try to smear Jason (Kenney), our goal with this campaign is to run a positive campaign number one and number two a campaign also on big ideas that are going to move our economy forward," says Rutherford.

Rutherford says Albertans aren't interested in what he calls a "fear and smear" campaign that he claims the NDP are engaging in.

He adds that he's focused on his party's positive vision and getting people back to work.  (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
