Wetaskiwin Police arrest two men following an alleged vehicle theft yesterday
Two men have been arrested following a vehicle theft early on Sunday morning in Wetaskiwin County.
RCMP responded to the incident yesterday where the complainant was able to give a detailed account of where the two alleged suspects had traveled and police were able to successfully spike belt the vehicle in which one of the suspects was driving.
That resulted in a short chase but eventually, the two males were apprehended by police.
Guy Roasting of Pigeon Lake and Patrick Hurley from Leduc County are each facing charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and break-in tools and Hurley is also facing two charges of breach of release conditions.
Roasting meanwhile has also been charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, along with charges of flight from police, prohibited driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
