Three suspects arrested in disturbing truck theft in Wetaskiwn

Police arrest three people following truck theft in Wetaskiwin

A disturbing scene last week in Wetaskiwin has three teens in custody.

 

It took place on November 7th when a member of the Central Alberta District Crime Unit observed a carjacking where three youngsters robbed a 76-year-old woman's truck at knifepoint.

 

Thanks to the help of police in Makwacis, RCMP in Wetaskiwin were able to apprehend the three suspects without incident.

 

19-year-old Jeral Rabbit of Maskwacis and Chaz Cattleman of Calgary are being charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and theft of truck among other things.

 

They made their first court appearance on Tuesday.

 

Meanwhile, a third suspect from Wetaskiwin who cannot be named because he's underaged has been charged with 3 counts of failing to comply with a probation order and robbery with an offensive weapon,

 

He will make his first court appearance on November 21 in Wetaskiwin.  (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
