Three people involved a rare "psychotic disorder" given one-year community sentence

A one-year sentence given to Jehovah's witnesses following Nisku kidnapping

A bizarre naked kidnapping case in Nisku has been settled with the sentencing of three people.

In November of last year, two women and a man who were Jehovah's Witnesses kidnapped a man, and his daughter and grandchild out of their house in Nisku because they believed Armageddon was coming.

The incident is being described in court as a rare psychotic disorder which resulted in all three culprits being sentenced to a one-year community sentence.

The sentence means the three will be under house arrest for the first 6 months and they'll have a curfew imposed on them for the last 6 months.

After they've served their sentence they'll be subject to two-years of probation.

The convicted cannot be named because two daughters of one of the women were involved and cannot be identified as minors.

At the time of the incident, the three claimed the great tribulation had happened and that Armageddon would follow.  (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
