The city of Wetaskiwin has chosen three places around as possible locations for cannabis

Three places around the city of Wetaskiwin have been chosen at random as possible retailers of cannabis

10 other places were in the running but were unsuccessful. The three that were successful were chosen at random by city councilors.

Its estimated the costs related to legalization would cost the city $50,000 annually.

Before the retailers can open for business they must get formal approval from the AGLC (Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis).

Cannabis became legal nationwide last week.

The locations for the three proposed retailers ( 4119 -56 Street, 5510-40 Ave and 5011C -50 Ave).
