Sale of Wetaskiwin Visitor Centre falls through

Wetaskiwin Visitor Centre is back on the market

The City of Wetaskiwin is going back on a deal struck in August to sell the Visitor Centre to a municipally owned surplus property.

The reason according to a release is that the property located at 4910- 55A Street has been listed on multiple real estate websites because conditions of the previous sale agreement have not been met.

The Visitor Centre was supposed to be under new management in mid-October once conditions were met and an extension was given to help the buyer try to meet the conditions which they couldn't do.

The Visitor Information Building was approved for sale by the council in August for $830,000.  (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
