Cannabis item recalled
Contamination concerns have caused a pair of companies to order a recall of some of their cannabis products.
Newstrike Brands along with its Up Cannabis subsidiary say tests have found mold and microbial contaminants which exceed the acceptable limits.
While they do not believe the contaminants will have a health effect on consumers Health Canada have been notified and will conduct more testing.
The product is called Eldo gram 7 dried cannabis and it's sold in the province to the Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis Commission.
The product has a packaging date of November 28, 2018, and lot number L1204201.
