Police looking for two males involved in an incident with a taxi driver

RCMP are for help in tracking down a pair of suspects involved in an armed robbery this weekend.

It was just after 10:30 pm on Saturday when Leduc Police along with RCMP dog services and Edmonton Police Air 1 responded to the incident around Leduc County.

According to police a taxi driver picked up two men in the area of Wal Mart in South Common and headed towards their destination around Leduc County.

Before they arrived the taxi driver made a stop by the weigh scales in Leduc County when one of the males brandished a knife and demanded the driver take them to their destination.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle unharmed and called 9-11 while the suspects fled in the taxi a short time later heading south on highway 2.

The first suspect is described as an indigenous male, approximately 5'10 with a heavy build, clean shaven, neck and hand tattoos, wearing a ball cap and carrying a backpack.

The second suspect is described as an indigenous male, about 5'10" tall, with a heavy build, clean shaven, wearing a ball cap, black hoody and jeans.
