People in Beaumont invited to open house to discuss liquor store separation
The town of Beaumont is holding an open house today to allow people to discuss changing a bylaw concerning the separation of liquor stores.
Under the current bylaw, all liquor stores in Beaumont must be within 500 meters of each other.
The concern with the current bylaw is that it may prevent more shops that are exclusively liquor stores from wanting the open and at the same time give freer reign to major discount retailers.
The open house goes from 5-8pm tonight in the Lobby of the Ken Nichol Regional Rec Centre.
