Another workplace death in Leduc yesterday
There's been another workplace tragedy in Leduc.
Very little is known at this time but Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) have confirmed the death of a worker yesterday afternoon.
STARS Air Ambulance was called out to the business here in Leduc at around 2:20 pm after a worker fell.
When they arrived they did not transport the patient to the hospital.
It was confirmed once they'd arrived that the man had died.
The victim was a male aged 45 but his name has not been released.
The victims next of kin have been informed on what happened.
Leduc Mayor Bob Young issued a statement late Tuesday saying "On behalf of Leduc City Council and administration, I wish to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of the individual who lost his life yesterday in a workplace incident. Tragic situations such as these are difficult for everyone involved. I would like to thank our Leduc emergency services personnel, the RCMP and STARS who responded to the scene, your efforts to assist this individual are greatly appreciated. This investigation has been handed over to Alberta Occupational Health and Safety and any further details will be released by them" says Young. (JSL/THE ONE NEWS).
