NDP questioning third party Political Actions Committee's donations to the UCP
The Alberta NDP is calling on the province's Elections Commissioner to investigate a third-party Political Action Committee(PAC) that's been supporting Alberta's opposition party.
The PAC, Shaping Alberta's Future has gotten hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Motor Dealers' Association of Alberta(MDA), money they've used to run anti-NDP ads.
The NDP says the United Conservative Party(UCP) is breaking the rules they passed which prohibits large individual and corporate donations to political parties.
UCP leader Jason Kenney says he's following the rules adding the NDP created the law that allowed Political Action Committees to operate.
Shaping Alberta's Future raised $375,000 in the third quarter of this year. (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
