Mental Health Advocate delivering powerful message in Wetaskiwin
The Wetaskiwin Chamber of Commerce is pushing the message of "Mentally Healthy Workplaces".
That's the theme of this mornings Luncheon which will feature guest speaker Robert Manolson, a mental health champion who created "Powerful Play Experiences" which emphasizes the importance of having fun at work.
Manolson tells The One News why this message is so critical to boosting morale in a work environment.
"We really needed to embrace the value of fun at work, that's an important part of the everyday workplace and so I built a business that was really about promoting the value of fun at work and how quickly it took off as a business that was about delivering workshops," says Manolson.
In Canada, more than 500,000 miss work each week because of a mental health problem or illness.
Today's luncheon starts at 11:30 and goes to 1 pm at the Best Western Wayside Inn on Highway #2A in Wetaskiwin.
Tickets are 30$ each for Chamber members and 40$ for non-members. For more information, you can visit \https://bit.ly/2yx9rOT. (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
