Local McDonald's Restaraunt Manager, Tammy Theriault has received the prestigious Ray Kroc Award. Theriault was chosen out of more than 38,000 managers across the globe.
Tammy started with McDonald's in Lacombe as a grill person 25 years ago, come November. She then moved to Leduc and continued with the company where she later became the Restaurant Manager at the 43a Avenue location since 2009.
"You're always learning, you're always striving to do the best," Theriault said explaining what her experience has taught her throughout the years. "People might think McDonald's is an easy job. It's a hard job but it's so rewarding at the same time. Working with your crew and your managers, if you didn't have them, you wouldn't be able to do what you do."
Every two years, McDonald's franchisees and regional management across the country nominate restaurant managers for the Ray Kroc Awards to recognize their hard work, dedication, and commitment to McDonald's and its customers. Less than 1% percent of managers around the world receive this honour.
