Leduc woman shares her story of sexual abuse in a new book

A Leduc woman is sharing her heartbreaking story of sexual abuse growing up.

Janet Little's new book entitled "My Tears Were for Her" talks about how she set aside the pain of her abuse and decided to live her life.

Little Tells The One News the number of people that go through sexual abuse is staggering.

"In Canada 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 to 6 boys are sexually violated before the age of 18, in the US its one child every 8 minutes and so I'd like readers to know that without our acknowledgment that sexual abuse has gone on, is going on and will go on, it will continue to be prevalent" says Little.

Little will be having a book signing tonight at the Leduc Coffee Shop located at 4728 50th Ave starting at 7 pm.

Little says she wants to encourage everyone to live in the joy, peace, and freedom that is intended for each of us.
