Leduc Rec Centre hosting Santa's Helper auction tomorrow

This weekend is just the beginning of what promises to be a very busy time for Leduc's favorite Christmas charity.

Leduc Santa's helper is having their annual auction Saturday at the Rec Centre with viewing open at10 am and the auction at 11.

The event helps them to provide hampers to those who need it during the holiday season and provide toys to kids as well.

Kim Logan a board member with Leduc Santa's Helper tells The One News what's been the key to being successful for 35 years.

"It's the community support we're blown away every year specifically by the businesses of Leduc, how they support us, every year they're like yup we've been waiting for you guys, we have our items ready, what can we do and they just generously give," says Logan.

Santa's Helper won't be done there as they are accepting donations until December 14 to help less fortunate families make their Christmas wishes come true.

You can find more information on how to donate and how to donate an item to the auction by visiting http://leducsantashelpers.ca/auction/ or you can call Kim at 780-297-0816.

The deadline to submit an item for the auction is today.  (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
