Leduc RCMP believes three pharmacies have been targeted by who appears to be the same male, and public assistance is being sought in identifying the male.
The Leduc RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) are investigating a robbery which occurred Friday March 2, 2018 at the Medicine Shop Pharmacy.
The RCMP believe that three pharmacies have been targeted by who appears to be the same male. Public assistance is being sought in identifying the male.
At approximately 10:10 a.m. March 2, 2018, a male who pointed a knife at a pharmacist, made off with an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs and fled the area. RCMP were unable to locate him.
A description of the male is:
- First Nations
- 5’7” tall / 145 lbs
- Mole under his left eye
- Wearing a grey hoodie, grey toque, and black sweatpants
He is believed to be the same suspect who robbed the Healthcheck Pharmacy on February 26. Attached is a composite sketch created after the incident at this Pharmacy.
Previously, on February 10 at 10:54 an unknown male went behind the counter at the Co-Op Food Store Pharmacy and took five bottles of narcotics. This male did not produce, nor threaten anyone with a weapon.
“The actions of this individual are escalating,” says Constable Mark Bovaird of the Leduc GIS Unit. “We are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying this male in order for us to put a stop to these incidents, for everyone’s safety.”
