Leduc HUB launched their Coats For Families campaign for the fifth year

The Coats For Families campaign back for the fifth year

The campaign has been happening in Leduc for many years.

It was originally run by the Kin Club. The Leduc HUB took over five years ago.

The campaign supplies winter coats and accessories for people in need.

Executive Director for Leduc HUB, Susan Perry says " Its just really heartwarming to not only see the backing of the community but to watch people come in and go out of the door just a little less burdened by being able to access this type of  support."

Perry says their increase in numbers could be a result of the growing population.

Just last year the HUB saw over 200 people come in looking for winter clothing. This year, over 10 people have donated.

Collecting began back in September and will go until February.

Anything from coats, toques, gloves, scarves, and winter boots can be donated during the HUB's office hours. Tuesday to Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm.

To donate drop by HUB at 5010- 50th Avenue in Leduc (West entrance), call 780-739-5482 or e-mail reception@lrhub.org
