Kosmos Restaurant concerned with a spike in vandalism

Local restaurant worried about a large number of vandal cases lately

A local business that's been in the community for more than 30 years has encountered its share of issues with vandalism of late.

On New Year's Eve Kosmos Restaurant had its van stolen just two weeks after they had a break-in at their beer shed.

Gabby Rahoum, the Owner of Kosmos tells The One News he's getting fed up with the number of thefts they've seen of late.

"We've seen more and more vandalism and theft going on, it's getting to the point where you have to lock everything, you can't trust anybody," says Rahoum.

Rahoum says they use those vehicles every day for catering, corporate lunches, and other events and not having one of the vehicles there can be a huge setback.

Fortunately, Rahoum says the van was located at an impound lot in Edmonton and will need a few repairs before it's back up and running.  (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
