Info session for Leduc Youth Council Committee runs tonight

Hosted at the LRC Oil Kings Room from 7-8:00.

The City of Leduc invites young people in the community out to an info session regarding its new Youth Council Committee.

That runs tonight from 7-8:00 p.m. at the LRC Oil Kings Room. Attendees will meet the people who will be involved, ask questions, get resources to help with applications, and eat free pizza.

The City is forming the committee with a mandate to provide a forum for young people to participate in local government. This will see people ages 16-22 working with council to research, advise, and plan actions for youth in the community.

It’ll consist of two members of council, and at least five, but no more than 13 members of the public.

Applications are due by Sept. 23 and can be completed by email, in-person at the City’s office, or through the mail. Applicants are asked to submit a cover letter, resume, and three references by 4:30 p.m. that day.
