Western Economic Diversification Canada(WD) is funding $70,000 to the County to perform a study on the feasibility of making the transformation. WD funding for this project is being provided as part of the Government of Canada’s Canada Coal Transition Initiative (CCTI).
The study, starting in September, will consult business community stakeholders and inform a possible path forward for the former NRC. Administration has been exploring and reviewing other options and alternatives for the building.
