Curl4Canada nominated for Canadian Sports event of the year

Last year's Curl4Canada event continues to showcase Leduc in a positive light.

The event which generated $2.4 million in revenue for the province including $2 million for Leduc has been named as one of the 3 finalists under category B for Canadian Sporting Event of the Year.

They're competing for the title against last year's Canada 55+ Games put on by Saint John New Brunswick and the 2018 Junior Men's Softball World Championships which took place in Prince Albert Saskatchewan.

This is the 13th year of the awards done by the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance(CSTA) and the awards will be handed out March 20.

Leduc's Curl4Canada was nominated under category B which recognizes outstanding events that were held with a budget below $1 million.  (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
