Leduc approves 2.89% tax revenue increase for next year
It's official starting in the new year you'll be paying a little more in revenue taxes.
The 2.89% increase for 2019 was decided by council during budget deliberations last month and was carried through by the council at last night's meeting.
The city says they are taking a value-added approach with this increase and finding a balance between maintaining service levels in Leduc while also having responsible fiscal planning.
It's forecasted that in 2020 we could see a revenue tax increase of 4.45% and 5.05% in 2021.
Leduc Mayor Bob Young, however, has said they have never hit second and third year projected numbers in his time deliberating budgets. (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
