Officer charged in arrest incident in Nisku from 2017
An incident in Nisku from 2017 has led to charges being laid against an RCMP corporal from Central Alberta.
It was on November 15 when Corporal Peter MacMillan arrested a 26-year-old man for possession of stolen property at a Nisku gas station.
It's alleged that while the arrest took place MacMillan used physical force when cuffing the suspect and a pair of handcuffs to strike the man causing the suspect to sustain a left orbital floor fracture.
MacMillan is being charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm and one count of assault with a weapon.
