AMA seeing record amount of calls for roadside assistance

The cold temperatures have made life for the AMA extremely busy over the past few days.

In fact, they say they've gotten a record amount of calls for roadside assistance since temperatures took a major plunge last weekend.

Around the province, they have gotten more than 31,000 calls for help as additional dispatchers, call centre staff and service vehicle operators have been called in to help handle the calls.

In rural area calls about dead batteries are up nearly nine times the average according to the AMA.  (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
