Trucking company owner charged in tragic bus crash involving Humboldt Broncos

The owner of a Calgary trucking company involved in the fatal Humboldt Broncos bus crash faces eight charges.

Alberta Transportation says Sukhmander Singh of Adesh Deol Trucking is accused of not following federal and provincial safety rules.

Sixteen people were killed and 13 were injured in Saskatchewan last April when their bus was involved in a crash with a semi-truck.

The charges include failing to maintain logs for drivers hours of service, failing to monitor the compliance of a driver under safety regulations and having more than one daily log for any day.

He is also charged with failing to have or follow a written safety program.  (JSL/CP/THE ONE NEWS)
