Provincial group talk about separatism in Alberta

Talks of Separatism are being sparked by a group stationed out of Leduc.

Alberta Fights Back is headquartered here in Leduc and it caught peoples attention this week with two billboards in Edmonton and Calgary asking the question "Should Alberta Ditch Canada"?.

Peter Downing is the groups Executive Director and he tells The One News he's fed up with how the province is being treated.

"We're the youngest, richest, hardest working province in all of Canada, we for decades supported the rest of this country with billions and billions of dollars, hundreds of billions of dollars and when our oil prices are low the rest of the country turns their back on us," says Downing.

According to Elections Alberta filings, Downing has raised about $2,900 for their cause.  According to their website, they're mailing address is P.O. Box 6085 Leduc Alberta, T9E 2A2.
