Police in Beaumont looking to return stolen items to owners

Police in Beaumont are hoping to return a number of items that were recently recovered.

After getting several complaints about a number of break and enters along with thefts in the city they were able to track down a pair of male suspects linked to the reports.

On March 5th at about 2:43 am a complaint was received that the men broke into a garage.

The suspects fled in a black SUV but the vehicle got stuck in a snow bank and the two occupants were caught and arrested a short time later.

29-year-old Clayton Michael Upright of Edmonton is facing 7 criminal charges including:

-Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5,000

-Break, enter and commit an offence- residence

-Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

-Flight from a peace officer

26-year-old Edmonton native Stefano Chad Nardi has 11 criminal charges against him, they include:

-Break, enter and commit and offence- residence

-Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

-Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000(X4)

-Flight from a peace officer

-Impaired operation of a motor vehicle

-Impaired operation over 80 mg% of a motor vehicle

-Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited

-Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Both suspects will appear in Leduc Provincial Court today.

An investigation revealed the black SUV was reported stolen from Edmonton.

Some of the stolen items recovered include cell phones, computers, binoculars, a number of watches and sunglasses among other things.
