Beaumont closes city playgrounds

The motion was made on Friday as a means of slowing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic

The City of Beaumont announced on Friday that it was closing all city playground equipment and structures on Friday, March 20th.

All city playground equipment and structures are closed within Beaumont, as the city works to further minimize public gatherings. Closing the parks will also help residents maintain social distancing as the city continues to take steps towards stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Beaumont’s parks and trails will remain open but the city urges residents to practice social distancing.
