Kerri Bauer has put her name on the ballot for the 2018 Beaumont By-Election in hopes she will fill the currently vacant seat on Beaumont Town Council.
Former councilor and mayoral candidate during the 2017 Municipal Election in Beaumont Kerri Bauer, is running in the 2018 By-Election to regain a seat on council.
"...Given the time of the by-election, and the decisions before council, I really feel that we need someone with experience. with strong municipal process knowledge and a strong resolve to move Beaumont forward," Bauer explained to One News when asked why she decided to run again for a council position.
Prior to running for mayor during the 2017 Municipal Election in Beaumont, Bauer sat on council for four years. She is also a member of the Beaumont and District Lions, the Beaumont Agricultural Society, Empowering Women Entrepreneurs and owns the local Crepe & Shake in town.
Owning the Crepe & Shake Cafe means Bauer believes gives her first-hand experience with what Beaumont business owner face.
In preparation for the by-election, Bauer is running on a platform which states that she has "the knowledge to grow Beaumont together with you."
"Beaumont's at a critical stage in its growth and it has a lot of untapped potentials, and I think we need someone who has strong relations and who can strategize with the current council and administration to unleash that potential," Bauer said. "And I believe I check all those boxes..."
Beaumont Residents will head to the polls on February 5, 2018.
