Strong numbers for Leduc's Positive Ticketing Campaign
It was another successful event for a local initiative aimed at rewarding good behavior among the city's youth.
That's the goal of the Positive Ticketing Campaign which started in Leduc in 2009.
This year there were 775 tickets for good behavior handed out during the campaign which ran from May to October.
That number is about average for the campaign according to the project lead Heather Graham but it's still significantly more than the nearly 400 tickets given out in the inaugural year.
During the campaign RCMP, peace officers plus members of city council, park crews, youth workers and the Leduc Nighthawks hand out the tickets to youth who make good decisions. (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
