Another appeal to the public for info on missing Leduc man

RCMP are still trying to determine the whereabouts of Ryan Mcleod.

It's a puzzling case.  Ryan Mcleod, 31, was last seen in Leduc back on September 10, 2020.  His vehicle was located in south Edmonton five days later, but there appeared to be no additional clues to help investigators find the missing man.  Several appeals to the public for information have yielded little additional information for investigators to go on.

"Somebody out there, we believe, would have some information about where he is," said Cpl. Laurel Scott, media relations spokesperson with RCMP in central Alberta.  "I can't give you all the details of what we're doing behind the scenes," she added.  "But I can tell you it's still a very active investigation."

With no recent sightings, or active searches involving concerned family members, it would be easy to believe that some harm had come to the missing man.  "That's not necessarily always the case," said Scott.  "Sometimes people are just purposely not trying to be located.  Right now we have no reason to believe that anything suspicious has happened to him."

McLeod is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall.  He has brown hair, green eyes, and weighs approximately 229 pounds.  Anyone with information about the man's whereabouts is asked to call Leduc RCMP (780-980-7267) or Crimestoppers (1-800-222-8477).
