Weekend convention see's Alberta NDP pass several emergency resolutions
The provincial government was able to find some resolutions to a number of key issues.
At the NDP Convention over the weekend the party was able to pass resolutions to add optical and dental services to Medicare, banning corporate and union donations to municipal candidates and also expanding broadband internet to all regions in Alberta.
They also voted in favor of increasing benefits for seniors and the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) and expanded the government's $25 a day daycare program across the province. (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
