Province wants the Federal Government to keep pushing for pipeline capacity
The province is calling on the federal government to keep fighting for pipeline capacity.
A poll conducted by the Angus Reid Institute showed 87 percent of Albertans saw pipeline capacity as a crisis while 58 percent of Canadians believe it is as well.
Leduc-Beaumont MLA Shaye Anderson tells The One News they need the Trudeau government to step up when it comes to getting pipelines built.
"We know what we're talking about out here, oil and gas industry is a massive industry for us, we've done it for a lot of years and we've done it very very well, I might be biased but I think we've done it better than anywhere else in the world so I think they do need to step up, they need to make these processes a little clearer for everybody" says Anderson.
The Alberta NDP is spending $23 million on a marketing campaign called "Keep Canada Working" to get the country on board with the Trans Mountain pipelines expansion through BC. (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
