Liberals urging NDP to issue more licenses for marijuana shops
A former official opposition party is calling on the province to issue more retail licenses for cannabis.
The Alberta Liberal Party says the NDP's flawed cannabis policy is failing Albertans, stifling job creation and undermining efforts to end the criminal black market.
Back on November 21 Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis(AGLC) suspended new applications and said it would not issue any licenses until further notice.
The Liberals say they want to see the government ease restrictions on stores seeking supply by allowing them to purchase from licensed producers or distributors other than just the AGLC including distributors that are currently frozen out of the market. (JSL/THE ONE NEWS)
